About STArt Club

STArt Club is for children who love Science, Technology and Art, We explore the world around us by investigating science in a creative, learning environment for all children to enjoy!

STArt Club is all about making learning incredibly fun for children in KS1 & KS2 (Year 1-6).  We provide Lunchtime Workshops and After School Clubs that give children the opportunity to learn about the amazing world around us through projects and activities that they will enjoy with enthusiasm.  We do experiments and investigations to stimulate inquisitive minds and produce works of art that they can take home to share their new knowledge with their families.

Science Week  Westbourne School Spring 2024

I just wanted to email to say thank you so much for your imagination, enthusiasm, expertise and kindness throughout every week at STArt. [My child] loves every single session and is really looking forward to returning next term. We are always amazed at the wonderful things he creates!

 Gillian, STArt Club Parent Autumn2023

Thank you so much for running your wonderful club. (My child) had a brilliant time and I'm still gobsmacked every time I look at his 'trumpet flowers' painting! We were talking about it just yesterday :) It will be going in a frame and in pride of place in the living room very soon!

Mia, STArt Club Parent Spring 2023

Some of our Projects
(ALLNEW PROJECTS FROM SEPTEMBER 2024)

Every Half Term we have a project theme.  Over the course of projects, we explore our topic blending and learning with activities that help children absorb greater depth and really understand the subject.

Wonders of the Natural Elements Vol II

This topic explores the origins of the earth matter as we understand how different types of rocks are formed and why we get different types.  We look at amazing mineral slices under the microscope and create rock-art.

Wonders of Conservation & Foliage

Plants cover the globe and are essential for life on earth.  Our topic looks at the amazing lives of plants and investigates photosynthesis and pollination.  We create stunning art both of plants and using plants.

Wonders of Scientific Art

Images are an ever-present element of modern life.  We capture the fascinating link between Science & Art.

Wonders of the Environment

Climate change is a growing reality, and our children will be responsible for leading the global response. We look at the causes and potential solutions to our Environment. We understand how it affects everything from weather patterns to food security. We consider how it might affect us and the plants and animals all round the world.

Wonders of Health & Nutrition

Our 'Wonders of Health & Nutrition' topic is a great opportunity to get really messy.  We do experiments to learn why a cake rises and get to taste the results, we explore different types of healthy food, explore the nutritional content and make art that showcases our drawing skills.

Wonders of Design & Technology

Learning the perception of light and colour, we find out about how colours are made and blended, we look for patterns in nature and human made designs.  Our sessions explore symmetry and design.  This topic really brings out the creative side of our characters.
